Understanding Cancer Pathways

Cancer isn’t just random growth—it follows certain survival strategies inside the body. These strategies are called biological pathways. They are like hidden systems cancer uses to grow, stay alive, hide from the immune system, and resist treatment. The good news is that each of these pathways can be targeted using diet changes, fasting, or natural supplements. When we block these pathways, we make it harder for cancer to survive.

One major pathway cancer depends on is called glutamine metabolism. Glutamine is an amino acid that cancer cells use for fuel. It helps them grow fast and build new DNA. Even when we take away sugar, some cancers switch to glutamine for energy. By reducing protein in the diet and using supplements like berberine, curcumin, or fasting, we can help cut off this backup fuel source.

Another key pathway is the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. This is like a stuck accelerator pedal for cancer—it tells the cells to keep growing and never stop. This pathway also helps the tumor build new blood vessels and avoid dying. But natural compounds like apigenin, quercetin, berberine, and curcumin can help slow this growth signal down. Fasting is also powerful at turning off this pathway.

Ferroptosis is a special way cells can die from iron overload and oxidative stress. Cancer cells often store too much iron, but they also create defenses to stop ferroptosis from killing them. We can break through these defenses by using compounds like artemisinin, green tea extract (EGCG), sulforaphane, and IP6. These work by boosting iron stress and triggering cancer cell death from the inside.

Cancer also has something like a “shield” called glutathione, which protects it from damage. This antioxidant defends the tumor from treatments like radiation or oxidative therapy (such as B17 or methylene blue). To make treatment more effective, we can use supplements like fenbendazole, artemisinin, berberine, and ivermectin to weaken this shield. Once it’s down, the cancer becomes much easier to destroy.

Another hidden trick cancer uses is stealing a molecule called NAD+, which is important for energy and cell repair. By hijacking NAD+, cancer cells stay young and avoid aging or dying. Fasting and compounds like curcumin and berberine help take back control of NAD+ and shift the energy flow back to healthy cells.

As tumors grow, they need more nutrients. So they build their own blood supply through a process called angiogenesis. This lets them steal blood, oxygen, and nutrients from the rest of your body. Natural compounds like resveratrol, green tea extract, and quercetin help block this blood vessel growth. Fasting also slows angiogenesis by lowering growth hormones in the blood.

Lastly, cancer learns how to hide from your immune system. It turns off the signals that would normally alert T cells or NK cells to attack. This is one of the reasons cancer can grow silently. But we can help the immune system “see” cancer again by using supplements like AHCC, Turkey Tail mushroom, Astragalus, and Vitamin D. These help wake up the immune system and improve your body’s ability to find and kill cancer cells.

When you understand these cancer pathways, you can take smart steps to block them. That’s what the Helping4Cancer.com protocols are designed to do. With the right timing, fasting windows, and natural compounds, you can shut down cancer’s escape routes—and give your body the upper hand in this fight.
